Niko and JPD Live at the 342

By djippy on June 19, 2020 5:32 pm

(Almost live recording. I did a little edit for a transition that I really did not like, everything else is as real as It can be)

4 mics setup. Kick, Snare, guitar cabinets closed mic plus a mono overhead.

Some eq-compression-stuff, ozone 8 element on the master bus and VoilĂ !

This is not tight but I am pretty happy about how the things sounds.

Another done. Those parts will most likely be a Bertrude song at some point.

Have an excellent week all.

JPD.

Nice man, super riffy, sounds great.  Love all the harmonics snuck in there too.

Pretty cool, definitely has some stoner rock vibes. I particularly enjoyed the riffs at  0:50 and 1:12. If it were backed up by a fuzzed out bass I bet this would sound so T H I C C.

this rocks so good. I love the super fuzzy guitarparts. Brilliant recording sound.

I like the loose jammed out feel.  It still brings plenty of rock and the guitar tone is really nice.

Ohhhh love that guitar right off the bat.  Strong way to open a song!  The production sounds great.  I wish I had the space/equipment for recording live.  Everyone here would cringe at my "studio".  I really dig the calm vibes in between the heavy stuff.

Oooo. I really like the vibe that comes in at ~0:43!!!

Niko is decent at what he does... He really dislike that recording as it is very sloppy but it is what it is...

We rent a rehearsal space, I could not do that at home... At home it is "silent" recordings, which is ok but not so rock...

I really like those arpegios as well smile

Thanks all! much appreciated.

The rock here is thick. Keep on rocking.

Love the riff transition at :40. It keeps the rock vibe alive, yet becomes eire in a way. That fuzzy guitar work is killer! I once again thank you for the subtle cow bell thrown in haha. Damn man, I wish had a rehearsal space.

This rocks in all its rawness! Great guitar and drum tones. Love those guitar wails and bends. Lots of soul!
