Just another blues

Collaboration with Mitch from Bertrude this week. Wanted to try Logic pro X as it is available for 3 months trials at the moment.

I did record a little E blues at home (bass, drums, guitar), sent file to Mitch. He did record the vocals this PM, This is the first time I actually stressed out about the deadline, was not sure if he would make it in time, was ready to upload an unreleased Bertrude song just in case...

I am very happy about how it did come out.

3 mics recording drum setup. Neck pickup Stratocaster recording (cleanish sound thru small tube amp, then logic amp simulation). Ibanez soundgear bass in di with some saturation on the daw. Mitch did record with a condenser mic at his place.

Blues!

(No cowbell this week)

Wow the sound is great, it popped out of my speakers. There is some mick jagger in this voice! Nice slow track, very enjoyable on a Monday morning.

Great quality on this. The drums are punchy and the vocals are on point.

really good quality recording indeed. a nice delicious blues...

Thanks! I am pretty happy about how the mix did come out even if it was done fairly quickly.

Thanks! From my perspective I felt hella inspired by Chris Whitley, but it's never a bad thing to be compared to Jagger wink

Wow, it's refreshing to hear some straight up blues rock on WB. Love it.

Just another clue

Even before I read the title or description the blues feel just leaped out at me.  And it rocks, too.  Eat your heart out, Led Zeppelin.  Nice job!

YES!!! Good ear.  Definitely some Mick in this!  Incredible work.  Love a good blues track.

Great singing. You can almost hear the cowbells, even though they're not actually there.
