All my guitars

By djippy on July 24, 2022 11:56 pm

This one is more of an exercise than a real tune, but I could have build a cool track with the idea and how thick it can sounds...

It started as just listening all my guitars on the same amp at the same settings, neck and bridge pickups.

Basically I did that, then added a drum machine and I was too busy this week to properly finish the track, but still I find it is a nice exercise and I really could hear the different characteristics of my guitars.

Neck first full tone
:
Mustang, LesPaul p90, Strat (alnico5), LesPaul melody maker burstbucker (bridge), Fatstrat (noiseless), Tele, all the guitars.

Bridge full tone:
Mustang, LesPaul p90, Strat (alnico5), LesPaul melody maker burstbucker, Fatstrat (shawbucker), Tele, all the guitars.

I'll try to upload pictures of the guitars later as I am 4 mins away from deadline.

Rock!!!

lol. I kind of love this.

So many guitars!

Love this idea and will 100% steal it w/ pedals. Really enjoyed listening to a literal wealth of sounds smile

now I can see your whole family.

Neat way to do a shootout. I dig! I might need to do the same. Wait a sec, I only have one electric, one acoustic, and one bass. OK, maybe someday!

i always love how your voice sings and talks at the same time, makes your tracks always feel like i'm hanging out with a best friend heart

Haha I love the concept. You have quite the collection! Is there another guitar you’re thinking is missing to your treasure and needs to be in there, to add a different vibe? Maybe a danelectro baritone? Or some crazy sitar guitar?

I think I shouldn't have named the guits in the track so we can actually hear the differences... lol But is was kind of rush at the end.

Please do, it can be a pretty creative one, if I had put a little more time into this one I think it could have actually become a great track.

Yes, only the cheap acoustic and the bass guitar is not on the picture, close enough wink

My pre is full when I record most of my vocals... (focusrite scarlett 1st gen) I like just "talking" very detailed vibes.

I'd like to have a baritone for sure. I'd like to have a proper 2 humbucker les paul as well. A Fender Jazzmaster too. Maybe some day a proper shredder guitar as well (Ibanez maybe? or any other pointy guit) But the fact is that this year I am not too good with my budget and have tons of other priorities.

Maybe one day, maybe one day... I am very fortunate to have access to all of those guits, and this shootout really made me enjoy different characteristics from the different guitars.
