Power Waltz

By Devieus on October 5, 2024 6:15 pm

Won't you dance with me, darling? Let's fucking dance.

Maybe it doesn't quite follow the Waltz standards. Instruments notwithstanding of course. But at least it's got the shuffle rhythms in it as best I could, even doubling up the beats to really hit the point home.

Give it a try with your nearest partner. Post results.

This has such a pretty feel to it. You nailed the waltzy energy. I don't know how to explain it, but it also feels very full, too. Like the sound is blooming in a lot of sections, I think that's what I found so pretty about it. Great work!

I think we have a problem, we always fill up every bit of sonic space way too much
It's not a bad problem ig, just that we can't seem to not do it every for that one time

Key features of the waltz are beat emphasis on the 2 and 3, and basically nothing else
If you got that, you got a waltz, so it's real easy

love all the layers and doubled melody lines. The waltz rhythm really works with this.👏

The birds are waltzing! Delightful dancing from the synths here too it's very fun and has lots of movement.

i reallly like the synth sounds here, and the crunchy beat(s).

we have some bird visitors in the neighborhood who are migrating. i went outside and asked them to dance and we all had a lovely time to the Power Waltz

great mix on this! it is a modern take on the waltz, sounds fresh

I'm glad you think that. It can sometimes feel like too many layers to us.

That's a waltz for you, a dance pure and through; every pause deliberate.

The beats are indeed very crunchy, the usual stuff we do and the default ones the generator made, one resembling analog, the other chiptune.

Glad the birds likes it as well.

Thank you!

The world wouldn't be less with a fresh waltz every so often.

There's no way that's a waltz, though if it can be made into one, it would go do hard and be so appropriate.

When I'm actually dancing waltz, I want it somewhat faster than what you did here , such that I can really spin. That being said, some of my favorite musical waltzes are the slowest ones.

In any case, great you're working with non 4/4 time signatures. It brings a nice quality to chiptune metal.

I could and certainly should try that then.

Quite a few of our songs are not 4/4, though maybe it's not quite as noticable. It's kinda disguised with the awesome sounds.

Perhaps you could contribute to making the world a better, more waltz filled place.
