Power Strip

By Devieus on June 21, 2024 7:21 am

The only thing actually composed here is the bridge. Someone came up with it and wanted to make a song out of it, probably me, but instead I just did my old shenanigans. Them's the breaks. It wasn't even all that great to be honest and needed quite a bit of work to work, but at least the birds are back, so it's really good right now and I'm satisfied.

They're back!!!
That melody sounds like someone singing some words. It's really great the way it's telling the story.

Quite a sentimental chiptune this time around. For some reason made me think of the Cranberries. Something about how you're building the melody in this one. I have to say I dig it!

The chips are working very well and the guitar plays excellent in the mix. Me satisfied too.

Another neat combo of generative material and accompanying power chords on guitar. Still digging the vibes of this new style of yours quite a bit! big_smile

I like the mix of heavy guitars that create a strong structure and the generated melodies. And of course the birds! You can never go wrong with the birds!

There was at one point a lyrics generator, it never quite worked out, but goddamn if the melodies it makes aren't strong.
And indeed, the birds found their way back.

It's got heart, that's for sure.

Likewise, it takes a bit of effort sometimes, but it's so worth it.

Never forget birds, even when they're not there in the song.
The mix is very much a "power chords are harmony, not the main lead" deal, so building everything around that is fairly simple.

I just noticed there's an ongoing Power theme in your titles, lol. Like the guitar work, and the chiptune leads mesh well with the guitar for some real nice moments, like the break and the part right after it around 1:50. Also birds!

this works really well! the drums are really heavy and drive everything well. enjoyed this!

Cool melodies and a great mix of feelings that evoked. Nice birds as always.

Indeed, it's been going on for quite a while. It's a reference to our guitar playing only power chords.
Thank you for enjoying, chipmetal is just so satisfying.

The only drums suited for our power songs are power drums. It's power so the way down.

Thank you very much, the birds are having the good feelings for that.

Go go bird!! And breaks.

Guitar sounds so nice and thick with the chipsynth and boirds smile The drums plow the way forward.  Well done!

The adventure continues!
