The big kick and clave at the start I think is from the A4, though for sure the Volca Drum can do big kicks too.
I'm using one track of the A4 for percussion, and the "CV" track for sequencing the Volca Drum via midi for the fill in percussion and hats etc.
That kick & clave really command the piece at the beginning and as you add more elements everything really congeals nicely. I love how everything swirls around and keeps morphing throughout.
