Power Burst

The idea of this song has been set in motion a few weeks back. The idea is... well, it's obvious when you listen to it. So go listen to it. Hint, it's not the 5/4 it's in, though that is a nice addition: neither is it the stereo guitar, that's just because I recorded it twice and didn't want to discard anything, though it too is a nice addition.

I did kind of forgot why it was called this, but it's a good enough name, so why change it. It sounds cool and so does the song, so it's a good fit for that reason at least.

Haha, we both made tunes in 5/4 this time around! The stereo guitar makes the sound pleasantly lush. The filtered break in the middle is a nice change of pace. Harmonies are well put together.

Nitpick: the guitars cut at the end, you could leave some space for them to reverberate to silence.

so good, like opening a pack of Starburst and realizing they are all the best flavor (the pink ones)
that filter section rules and was very effective. the birds seemed very happy about it too!

Catching up: don’t think you’ve created enough power these last 20 weeks.

Cool synth sounds. Dig the wind down at 1:27

Thank you so much! The universe likes 5/4 apparently.

As for the guitar, perhaps. Wouldn't want to take too much time and it gets the point across.

Oh yes, they loved it. Never had starbursts, so I'll take your word for it.

You're going to be so disappointed with me next week, but I'll keep it in mind. The world could do with some power.

I don't know if it's actually called winding down, the tempo and notes are the same (if anything, they're layered even more). It's just a silly little filter.

Ngl, the start of the tune really fooled me, took me a while to find the first beat. I like being fooled by sounds! This sounds like a midwest emo track played by a crew of chiptune scotsmen.

It really doesn't feel 5/4, until the guitar really points to it.
