Oops, all papu.

So a long time ago, earlier this year, I had a poll that asked which plug-in I should add based on name alone. One item on it was FreeBoy Color, this is in actuality a GameBoy sound chip emulator. It's here now. Internally it's called "papu" and I have no idea why, but whatever, here it is.

I made sure every track, including the drums, were FreeBoy Color (save for the bird; don't worry, it's still here), so this is as close to true chiptune as this generator will get, probably, and I had to modify the waveform generator somewhat to do it.

I'm still missing Vibed, a 9-oscillator synth, LB302, which I don't care much about, Kicker, which I also don't care about, Opulenz, a 2 operator FM synth, Organic, an additive synth, and ZynAddSubFX, which requires a program all its own because of how massive it is and can probably replace every other plug-in.

It's a real chiptune!!! + bird. Liking the drums here.

Nice, digging the chip tune.  Big time Zelda vibes.

The chips may be fake, but the chiptune is real. Thanks man.

That's one Zelda game I'd love to play.

beautiful melodies. the drums fit very well.

It’s a chipgrinder standing on a busy data bus with a bird instead of a monkey collecting data bits.  Very slick.

This is super pretty. I always loved (but had no real attention span to create) chiptune.

The drums are also made of chiptune.

The bird really catches them by surprise.

Thanks!

Me neither. Fortunately I have a generator that'll do it for me.

It has a zelda gameboy vibe, like towards the end. The drum patterns are interesting, kinda industrial chiptune.

This has a nice chord progression going on... I also like those sounds with slower attack > sustain sounds, they give this a sort of positively restrained feeling.

waiting for the birds.

awwwwww yissssss

still got that seaside vibe - nice

Also around the start, and the middle too, I guess. Industrial is an interesting take, but you're not wrong.

That's nice about FreeBoy, real easy to make it sound real nice.

You really gotta go to the beach someday, it's a sunset vibe at best.

That poor bird, it sounds he's getting smashed by those aggressive percussive elements. Beside that animal abuse a very interesting track! Nice!

The bird's having a wonderful time.

Really calming chord progression.  The drums almost take on a fireworks in the distance feel.  The bird enjoyed them!

The birds are popping, one way or the other.
