Test 2

By DESLRV on April 12, 2026 9:36 am

Hello there reader/listener, welcome to my first attempt at making something decent, even though it's called test 2; the first one isn't much.

This is a remix of our very first song submitted to WeeklyBeats all the way back in 2012, when we were but a wee 21 year old singlet (3 days before turning 22 in fact), putting all those years of practice into that and coming with this

We still have the project files from back then, the exact same ones, to the point I started out transplanting the whole project from LMMS to Waveform wholesale, soundfonts and all

Also test 3 isn't much either

Credits (they're the same as last time)
Halleck for the record scratch
ultradust for the wood block

Neat remix! First time hearing the original too. Nice work merging it with your current style!

YESSSS love when the remix comes in

The intro reminded me of an old Genesis/arcade game called "Columns".
It then evolves into its own thing, and I totally dig it. It does remind me of ye olde good times, early Sunday, pajamas on, and staring at the TV with a controller in hand.

Great stuffs!

in the wayback machine, buckle up!
this is a rad expansion of the OG, nice work

Very FM sounds in this one, arcade music indeed.

As time progresses, honed skill will be refined. There'll always be room for improvement of course.

It's been 14 years, it's well worth the wait.

14 years was a while back, though the intro is new, that's how nostalgia works.

Thank you, it's been a long time coming and also had to deliver the future promise we made this year. We got a lot of music to work with, and this is a very easy person to remix.

I don't think anything here is explicitly FM, unless the Farfisa uses it. Guess those FM boys were on to something with their algorithms.

This one is cooking with pure gasoline

Burns clean and fierce.

Ooh love the expansion of the original theme when the synth lead comes in with the guitar.  \m/ excellent!

We learned a few things, good things. It'd be a shame to let this potential go unused.
