Minuet and Trio

I wrote a Minuet and trio as if it were the 18th century (even though I had some modern harmony in there...sigh). This Minuet is typical with 3/4 time with a stately introduction as the dancers engage. As Dance Suites were written for dancers each part is repeated twice so the dancers get to do it again. That is the Minuet- ABA FORM.
You hear Part A repeated, then Part B repeated.
Next is the Trio after a pause.
The character changes for the Trio. Trio implies 3. Hmmm It could be in 3, or involve 3 instruments, or select couples so they can show off. It is meant as a chance of character or mood. My Trio is in 3/8 time and I picture it for 3 couples to showcase their moves. The jumpy melody in the Trio, pauses for the dancers to catch their breath before they do it again--faster, and faster and faster. There is a recapitulation to Part A once, Part B once then a finishing cadence in the Coda.
Thanks for listening
