Halloween

By Daisy on October 20, 2024 9:00 pm

I started with something calm-- then went into something frantic. I featured a tuba with a melodic line.  When things got frantic the Tuba thunders, the strings rise in 1/2 steps.
I wanted to call it Introduction and Scandal.
I pictured myself on my usual walk, and then caught a glimpse of the neighbors house and saw some weird-unbelievable scary things going on in the front yard-- and got myself home where I slammed the door and caught my breath.

My husband said just call it Halloween.

Perhaps there will be children trick or treating in my neighborhood, and something truly scared them.  Maybe... it was me?
I do a really good witches laugh-- I have promised my family I would never ever do again--I has been over ten years.... Halloween is coming up..... But..... I promised I wouldn't.

very expressive piece, as usual.
we saw some very scary things and messages driving around this weekend. i wish it was only halloween...

starting a petition for you to incorporate the witches laugh into one of your songs this month!

Enjoyed the scene, great use of instrumentation to convey the plot.
