Ouroboros

Crazy busy week this week, so I'm cheating a lil bit. This is a low-effort take on a song I did last year that I really like, where the TEO-5 provided that rhythmic pad-ish sound that is like 99% of what makes that song cool. That song was called End, so I thought a reworking of it would be fun to call Ouroboros, and I'd actually like to come back to this song again at some point in the future.

I leaned into trying to make this one a bit more rhythmic and synthwave, and I ran out of time so it's mostly just a few looping parts, but it's still kind of fun. I basically kept some of the ideas of the parts and chopped up the sample of that TEO-5 patch and added in some different bass and synth/lead parts, with some punchier percussion. Have a good week, friends.

I love that flute sound. It's so saccharine sounding. Great work.

This was great dude. If this is what "low effort" creates, then hot damn! Hahahaha... Super pretty!

I like the PUFFFF snare. nice dynamics.

melody is interesting. makes it so catchy that it's syncopated. nothing fancy but it works so well! maybe actually fancy! idk if you are consciously composing it this way or it is just natural for you but I think it's special sauce cause I was at an event with live music the other day and it occurred to me that the musicians who were playing & improvising nicely but rather boring, they almost never syncopated anything so it all sounded like they were playing different metronomes. it's different beasts and all but an interesting lesson.

Lovely lush synthwave. The minimal changes work well to keep it mellow. That filtered bridge part sounds beautiful with the stereo flanging. Gently reminded me of the Tunic soundtrack, which can always be taken as a compliment.

again a master piece !! i really liked the way it develops such a beauty !! well done

Beautiful! Love the that slow arp. The break is also really great!

These are fine loops, definitely hits the synthwave background music.

This is pumping good. smile

Oof when the snare hits it's full synthwave goodness heart the pulsing warm bass and rhythmic pad have such a comforting sound.  Love the filtered build up back into the drums.  Excellent work!

hell yea normalize reheating one’s own nachos

I played this in a neon pink Lambo and a portal to another dimension opened up.

that snare almost put out my eye! great jam

Always killer synthwave coming from you. This rules as always.

Well regardless of the rationale, you put it up and I got to hear and enjoy it, so I’m glad that happened. Cool song
