Winds of Change

By Cursory on November 10, 2024 11:37 pm

Needed something light and breezy (ha) to try and ward off the doom and gloom this week. Somehow that equated to… bluegrass? I have a mandolin I don’t play much, found out the neighbor’s dogs don’t seem to like my playing. I’d better practice more.

Another incredible piece of music. Your mandolin and your voice sounds perfect in my ears. Very happy you share this with us.

needed that gentle wind. thank you, Cursory

This definitely nails the gentler, airy vibe you're going for. That ending was pitch perfect too.
I hear you as far as gloom goes. Hope you're doing well.

Ooof! Love the upward motion and sound of the guitar/mandolin lines.  Comforting lyrics that hit hard especially that last line.  Them dogs should be more appreciative! smile  Beautiful song

just coming back to say how strong and breezy (ok, yes... big_smile ) this melody is.
needed a mood lift today and this did the trick

Very homely vibe. Some winds are very comfy just coasting along with.

Short track, but I love how it grows over time. By 2:00 it's a full arrangement that creeped up slowly.

Nitpick: I love your vocals and this performance is great as usual. This time they're mixed in quite loud compared to the very delicate mandolin at the beginning. That's less apparent by the end of the track, so maybe turning up the mandolin in the beginning by a few dB is the answer.
