Happy Week 20! Another 1 mic 1 track submission from me. I’ve noticed that sitting down to play guitar or make music these days is usually “try to come up with a WB idea” time >.> Most weeks that has felt okay, but I felt like I missed playing for playing’s sake this week. Wound up dabbling in a bunch of things I normally wouldn’t and had some fun without self-imposed expectations.

During that, this particular song came together fairly quickly, though the guitar part became physically painful to play lol I probably would have tried for a few more takes than I did otherwise. There’s one chord in particular (:17, :57, etc.) that my hands did not want to do. Experimented with some accompanying electric guitar stuff but I didn’t come up with anything that really meshed. I still hear the possibility of a second, higher guitar part in there somehow, but I also like where this is for now.

Definitely love how this one turned out. It's a powerful song. heart Hope you're feeling better and taking the time you need to get there.

Lovely as always - love how intimate the single mic/single track songs sound. Your vocals sound great. Different style, but your voice reminds me a little of Jens Lekman.

wow this is so beautiful. It feels like I'm in the room with you.

needed that. thank you, Cursory

Finally caught on my Cursory listening session tongue Really enjoying the lyrical context. It make it all feel very personal and is always thoughtful.

Thank you WB always needs beautiful emotionally soothing tracks like this.  The guitar with your vocals sounds so calming and the lyrics oof felt all too relatable and got me a bit in the feels smile  Also feeling a bit of that Fleet Foxes vibe like I could be floating down the river in the shade.

I like this one a lot.  I think the simplicity of the arrangement is actually pretty poetic.  This song sounds and feels like the welcome respite that I think it was... it would fit so nicely between two more heavily produced tracks, right after maybe two tracks that were a little more high energy, and right before a tear jerker.  Like a musical palette cleanser.

Thank you! Realizing how nice it feels for something I share to be relatable. The Fleet Foxes vibe will carry on I'm sure haha.

Thanks so much smile I think you're spot on, writing and recording this was very much a therapeutic process. This is a great thought about placement among other songs, thank you.
