It's Blue

Happy Week 30! Happy to be back after a missed week. This week also features the return of my other (repaired) acoustic guitar, with fresh strings in standard tuning. This means a much brighter sound than I’m used to working with, but it seemed like a good stretch. Maybe the first time I’ve put timpani drums in a track? Everything else pretty much sounds the same as usual >.< The whole harmonized slide guitar thing is hard to let go, I think I have a problem...

I only want to be the wall
You trust to hold your truth
If I could never falter…
I’ll be a garden tender
And watch the ways you bloom
Under that sky, purple and white
But through the clouds,
Through the clouds it’s blue
If ever you forget your worth
I’ll sing it to a tune
But you still don’t believe me
Though hours pass as blades of grass
I’d never change my view
Under that sky, through every night
Cause all I see
Yes all I see is you

Finally missed a week, almost a relief tbh. I didn’t expect to do so many weeks when this started. The weekly deadline has been a huge motivator to make music every week and get something (mostly) done. That said, it’s been most enjoyable when I’ve had enough free time to put something together I’m happy with. I know it’s kind of the point to just “make it work” every week no matter what that means, but I’m still figuring out how to do that in a way that feels good. One step backward, hopefully some steps forward will follow.
For now, I feel okay with missing a week, though if it’s the only week I missed by the end I’ll probably feel a bit silly
