Happy Week 25! The half-way mark approaches… good job folks. A rare early upload ahead of some travels.

First good bike ride of the year, a bit bittersweet as a “passed down” pastime I no longer get to share. But, not doing it at all would just be bitter.

“4 chords and the truth” mode strikes again. I feel like this is one of those chord progressions everyone gets to use at least once lol That said, I’ve certainly used it before…

oof, Weekly Beats hitting me in the feelings this week.
thank you for sharing this lovely song
think it's time for a bike ride over here too

You keep cranking those songs out as if it's not a big deal! No notes. Five stars.

Damn. Gonna make me cry. Those lyrics hit home hard. What a damn pro. Reminds me of my father and my relatives that have passed. Hell even just people that are out of my life now that I will never see again. I think about this way more then I care to admit.

I like the sound of the nylon guitar. It has a kind of boxy or smaller bodied sound that almost reminds me of a resonator for some reason. I am tripping out trying to identify it tongue Probably over thinking it.

I've been cycling too when time permits. It's mostly 15 to 30 minute 3-5 mile rides these lately but I try and sneak a longer 18 to 20 mile ride in if I can. I've only done that twice this year. I hope you get more time to ride!

One of my favorites of yours yet. Short and (bitter?)sweet. Beautiful lyrics and melody.

this sounds soooo good! favorited and downloaded

It's not the cliche of the progression that matters, it's how you use it. You're using it very well with these instruments.

Beautiful use of that chord progression and your vocals were delivered perfect with the guitar.  Really inspiring and heartfelt song.

An absolute 100% classic, but the sad subject frightened me. Overwhelming music.

Aww right there with you, thanks for relating and sharing, it's nice to hear. I don't think I'd be able to identify this guitar by sound alone - it's a small, mahogany body acoustic with silk and steel strings, tuned down to C# (I think?)standard. Will try to keep riding too as the weather permits.

Much appreciated, I will not fear the cliche!

Thank you so much, and sorry for this. In retrospect it would be better to have a warning of the heavier subject matter.
