Happy Week 51! The last week divisible by 17, I know, we’re all thinking it. I spent some some time with Chroma Console’s “Collage” setting… there’s fun to be had there. 4 collage tracks created a backdrop that was just asking for some crunchy chords over the top. I reckon there was some jwh-inspiration here, loosely following an “ambient track -> chords/vocals” model. No clue how to mix something like this, feels like a slight mess in places but maybe there’s charm there lol. Happy holidays, see y’all next week for the big one.

Another precious gift from your console. I love the grunchy guitar and the excellent bassline. The vocals are superbeautiful, you old midlakefleetfox.

Frippertronics vibe. This sort of "note cloud" is what I usually accomplish with Moog Subharmonicon. Similar role, though, as it works harmonically in multiple chords, just like you did here. Great stuff, with that trancey vibe it always feels too quick when it's over. Love the vocal harmonizations, too.

so lovely, carried me right out the window heart

gosh the chroma console sounds like such a fun magical box.  Something about the color sequence makes me wanna turn the knobs.  Love the backdrop you created with it and the bassline just completes it instantly.  The strums, slides and your vocals are just an awesome and calming presence all in one.  Ooof the chord sequence at 2:40ish.  The chroma'ed loop has a nostalgic sort of children's playground/carousel sound to it. smile
