Therapy Bear

By Cosmic Cairns on July 3, 2024 9:49 pm

Mostly just felt like playing with some distortion this week.  I also added a little bit of a recording I made on my phone of a train going by.

The night is dark
There's a chill in the air
Here comes the therapy bear

Sometimes it seems
Like nobody cares
Then there's the therapy bear

The world seems bleak
But please don't be scared
Time for the therapy bear

I for one welcome the Therapy Bear.

That break from 0:52 constrasts so much with the super overdriven fuzzy medieval festival section. I feel like i'm having a trip through intergalact space while high on gummy bears. This is beautiful in a unique way.

ALL HAIL THERAPY BEAR

love the contrast of the heavy fuzz and your floating vocals, almost shoegazey in parts. the triumphant bells and brass-like melodies that come in really seal the deal. yes!!

Anything goes, everything is possible. You always have the right approach. I could not believe my ears what I just heard. Fantastic mixture of the finest ingredients. And thank you for the superfuzzy fuzz in the right corner.

I get 90s garage band vibes form this one. I like the contrast between the reverby vocals and distortion! Great sound!

Holy moly this is a beauty! Backup vox tug at the heart!

Just seeing your titles always make me happy and eager to hear the song. How can you not love and be excited about a Therapy Bear! I want to hug them now! This is fun fun. the Ba ba ba ba so fun. Then that little change into synths, yess.  A warm hug from the bear indeed.

love the contrast with the bridge section at 45 or prechorus, or whatever you want to call it. Killer work

hooray for therapy bear!  Love the crunchy guitar tones that contrast with your vocals.   That ba ba ba chorus is a nice touch and super catchy.  That psychedelic synth-mid-tro is far out and gives the song a trippy experience. A heroic outro of redemption with the brassy progression. Nice work!

I'm finding that I often enjoy having some contrast in songs.  It doesn't need to happen in every song, but I feel like a little break from the distortion, for instance, can give it a little more impact when it comes back in.  Thanks for listening!

Thanks!  Just had the urge to pile on a bunch of sounds at the end.  Sometimes it feels good to make a racket.

I've been enjoying fuzzy sounds this year.  I expect there will be more to come.  Thanks as always for your kind comments!

I spent some time in a few garages back in the 90's, so I probably picked a few things up along the way.  Thanks for listening!

Sometimes some ba ba ba's are just the best thing in the world.  Thanks!

Yes! I pictured a big fuzzy huggable bear.  Glad to hear you're getting that image as well!

Thank you!  I've been enjoying playing with some contrasting parts in some songs this year.  Keeps things a little interesting I think.

Thanks!  The outro was fun to put together for sure and just seemed to call for some brass sounds.
