Spectacles Testicles Wallet Watch

I managed to get myself in trouble with the girlfriend this week because of this track.  She wasn't feeling well and laid down to take a nap while I was recording.  I really tried to keep it down.  I recorded all the instruments with direct lines.  But then it came time for some vocals.  I just really felt like this one needed some James Brown - style "Ow!" screams.  I guess I got a little carried away with them because the next thing I knew I was getting a death stare from a grouchy and tired girlfriend wondering what the heck I was doing screaming like a maniac.  I tried to explain that the track really needed some James Brown screams, but she wasn't having it.  At least I pretty much already had what I needed and I think she'll forgive me.  She's pretty cool and supports, or at least indulges, my WeeklyBeats habit.

Love that dirty bass!! Go to get those drums up in the mix, otherwise, delivers the goods... balls to the wall.

Heh. Good piece, good backstory. Keep "owing."

Haha! The track needs what it needs, your girlfriend is just going to have to understand that.

Crazy good story to this track. Your GF needs OROPAX for those imporant moments of your creativity flow. The JB-OW screaming is perfect here. Well done.

Track title cracked me up, especially for Easter smile

Great vocals, great story, great OWWWWWWW!

Thanks!  You're probably right about the drums.  It was a bit of a quick mix job done in headphones so as not to incur any further wrath.  smile

Thanks!  And I will for sure.

In the long run she will.  In the moment she was grouchy.  I understand.  I can be grouchy when I get woken up by noise, too.  smile

It did work out well for Easter.  I wasn't even actually planning that.  And those are definitely some words of wisdom.

Haha good story! Showed it to my wife wink Greetings from her!
This Song is very nice! That nagging repeating guitar is very cool!

Thanks!  It was fun playing that bass part for sure.

Funky fuzzy goodness. It did need "ows" so worth it. I can relate to annoying others with the weekly beats habit, it happens often to me. This title, wow, love that title too.

Usually I'm pretty good at keeping it on the downlow, but when the need to scream comes on, you gotta go with it.  It does make me realize how ludicrous I must look though to someone who can't hear the music I'm hearing through the headphones and only sees me making weird screams.

LOLed at the track title and enjoyed the back story as always.  Super groovy and gritty track!

Thanks!  The back story was too fun not to share.
