I've been using the "michigan synthworks SY0.5 Analog drum module" for my snare source lately, really happy with it. it responds well to velocity. I then run it through a tube filter to give it a bit more crunch and variability.

there are also some simple high hats made from a noise source and a couple of fast envelopes. The bass is from an old Korg ms20, running through an eq, scooping out some mids. I was inspired by Paul McCartney's bass tone, lol.
