Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

was playing a little of Super Mario 64 DS on the 3ds over the week remembered how good jolly roger bay was and wanted to write something inspired by that.

That is a nice little track, with nice delicate melodies. A lot of the main Nintendo games have splendid music, haven't they? I was listening as my kids were playing Mario kart on the switch, and the tracks are just insane.
If you really want to nail it, try a Rhodes. It doesn't feel quite right for a Mario game, but it feels quite right regardless.
