Slow Jazzy Doodleliscious

By Bunjigram on September 1, 2024 10:41 pm

Just a slow jazzyish improv in Cmaj7 for this week. Only had time to do it once. Until next time... - RCN

This took me away for a little while. What a lovely composition.  Wonderful flow and voicing. That little high melody at the end was like delicious icing.

This is a one-take-wonder? Wow. I seriously admire your talent.

Such a nice, cozy soundtrack for heading into fall. Agree with paisleyfrog about the wonderful flow and voicing. This feels like perfect music for studying or working to. Awesome upload!

Thanks, I never really know what will happen when I do these improvs. Sometimes they really flop, and sometimes they just hit the mark. My girlfriend and her kids were visiting this weekend, so I didn't have much time and literally cranked this out in 30 minutes while my ribs were on their last hour in the smoker. Maybe I should try this approach more often smile

Thanks, I enjoy relaxing/study music myself, to glad I could make some of my own! Fall is my favorite season, so maybe it will inspire my music even more as we head into the cooler season.

I can imagine Paul Simon singing over that. Lovely, indeed! And I'm impressed this was a single take.

lovely delicate improv. I could happily float in maj7 land all day.

Oooh love those maj7s.  I can feel the season change nostalgia in this.  You might be onto something with the ribs in the smoker.  Like the Beastie Boys said, slow and low that is da tempo smile  Love the ending in this too.  Excellent playing.

A very tasty jazz. The kind you can only doodle.
