A Little "More" Chelly - With Tina Guo

So I know I probably shouldn't upload the same song as last week; however, I spent all this week working on it, trying to improve it, starting with going from 2.5 minutes to an over 4-minute track. That meant playing more piano and more cello. Also, this was a big learning week for me with Ableton. I wasn't really happy with the Philharmonic cello legato I used last week. So, Mosaic gave me Tina Guo (Vols. 1 & 2) cello samples. OMG, what a difference. I kept Phil's piano (a Steinway D) but used Tina's lovely cello legato from Vol. 1 and tons of automation to make it sound pretty. I also expanded my library with Valhalla Room to add some really nice space to play in. After zillions of "how to" texts to Mosaic, I finally got something that I think does the job. I look forward to exploring a lot more now that I'm learning my way around Ableton and a growing library of plugins, thanks to Mosaic. Weekly Beats has been a really fun father-and-son creative adventure. Anyway, hope all have a great week, and as always, thanks for stopping by. - RCN
