Paralysed

2025 was difficult for me because of getting headstache when I do something on a screen, but I'm feeling better even if I don't feel perfectly well.

I really would like submit a song every week but it seems like I can't do this right now...

I started to make a programm for the handheld console named "playdate". This song is made with that selfmade programm (without samples). Here is a gif of that programm:

My goal is to make it possible to implement songs in playdate games to reduce the file size because the playdate has only 4 GB and a normal game should have up to 40 MB. (The save file of the song has 200 kB.)

Maybe I want to sell this program but it is inspired by nanoloop for android so I'm not sure I'm allowed to do that... (That 2x8 pattern was a 4x4 pattern before lol)

this looks like a great idea, you should submit something you make with it
i look forward to hearing more

cool tech behind this

Hey, the dedication is admirable and it is a catchy tune

Neat! I'm always impressed by the cool tools folks on here use (& develop!!) and the track had me rockin back & forth

actually side to side

It must feel so satisfying to build your own tool and then produce music with it! Great work!

Thanks for the feedback.

To be fair I only used the sound programming commands of the lua playdate developement documentation and I have no clue how to make a program generating sounds without that but of course it was still a lot of work.

The song of the next week is already finished. While it felt a bit slow making the first song because of some bugs and missing shortcuts it felt much better making the second song after fixing that stuff.

That is quite the feat.

This is so cool! Found it through your most recent song appearing at the top of my page and clicking the link that linked back here. I can't wait to see where you go this year
