An ambient drone composition created with my own software Dronage Terminal.

Implementing custom user scales (using Scala format) opened up new sonic doors for me. This piece uses Turkish Makam Rast - Arel-Ezgi-Uzdilek system based on 53-EDO scale.

I had to record this multiple times because I found a bug related to audio recording buffers (turns out it wasn't really broken, it just took ~2 mins for the recording to be written to disk and I was quitting the app before it finished exporting, it was really confusing and hard to debug until I eventually figured out this was the case). Now I fixed it so it takes ~1 second to write an 10 minute long wave file.

I feel like I wrote more about Dronage Terminal than the piece itself, but this was all part of the whole journey so it carries historical value for me smile

Anyways, I also screen captured my session.
Enjoy!

Beautiful! Need to play with this software. I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

I usually find microtonal stuff challenging but this is great. Nice physical modeling style plucks there.

This is fantastic; A warm blanket of peaceful drone with the best bazaar on Earth down the street somewhere.

almost fell asleep during work thanks to that. certainly helped keep my pulse below the requirement for not bleeding out of my eyes thanks to unreasonable emails

Very nice soundscape. Reminds me of very early Sigur Rós. Or, some background track of some very acidy Goa trance I heard in the 2000s.

This is excellent. Looking forward to hearing what else you make. This is the second track I've listened to today where the person who made it, also made the software they made it with. Well in!

this is awesome, making your own instrument even better.

Very good work you've done here, the whole software and everything.

Wow, this is really compelling! I was drawn in right from the beginning and still hooked at 8mins! Very nice and even more amazing that you wrote this software too. Thank you!

nice, this drew me in much more than i expected.  this being on your own synth is very impressive, looks really fun as well!

excuse me this is so crazy that you made your own software!
congrats
