For all you sexy meteorologists out there

› Lyrics

really solid and i love "stand in front of the green screen and tell me the skies are turning blue" just simply incredible that you come up with stuff like this week after week

Hahaha this is great. What was the inspiration/backstory?

Dig the melodies and drums

ahh, using the weather as a metaphor for your love life.  Classic.  You are really good at these poppy pop punk sort of stuff.  Good tune, very catchy!

Fun tune! Got a classic punk vibe I'm coming to expect from you wink

This sounds really fresh, I super enjoyed this!!!

Certified banger smile Can't wait for summer!

Yeah!

nice pop punk rock attitude.

Damn you rock. Or Damn You. You Rock. Take your pick. It would take me more than a week to record that (assuming I could play the drums, bass, etc., much less WRITE it. I caught the toaster analogy on another song, but the metaphor Cow Tools noted got by me. Good thing they turned the blue screens green or you might have had issues at one point there. Excellent work.

I think your snare has a really nice hollow pop on this track. I had to A/B it to a few of your other tracks to make sure, but I think it sounds different enough to call out. The guitar tone sounds great too. Great lyricism and song writing, as always smile

Sidenote: I've admittedly been a little tickled since Week 4 when you wrote Desert Crown and how the lyrics were about the weather was clearing up but then it's been raining so much since then, LOL. I think we're finally entering hot weather and clear days now though.

Thanks! That's my favorite line too.

This one was an unexplainable, spontaneous combustion thing. I didn't set out to write it, but sometimes words just fall out of my facehole, and I edit them until they kind of make sense.

Haha, thanks mate! I made a songwriting discovery back in '22 that if instead of just focusing on one thing in a song (e.g. "lover, lover, I loving love you"), you pick some other topic to bounce off of, you can create new ways to express or contextualize the story. The weather isn't necessarily a new or novel way to do this, but I seem to fall back on weather and seasons a lot.

Nice, glad you dug the tones. Guitar tone was 100% stock helix native preset, one of the AC30 models. Thanks for the compliments.

Regarding the weather... Desert Crown was an optimistic song because there had been so much rain, and I needed it to stop to take care of my roof. What followed was a couple months of me fretting (heh) over my leaky roof because the rain wouldn't stop for long enough for me to get it handled. All better now, but I was not quite as tickled about the rain as you wink

nice one! i especially like how your vocal melody works over that 2nd chord in the verses
thinking about weather/whether or not is a clever trick  smile

i can see the cutest/funniest music video for this in my head

love the metaphor and +1 on jwh about weather/whether

also +1 VL the snare sounds great
