I think your snare has a really nice hollow pop on this track. I had to A/B it to a few of your other tracks to make sure, but I think it sounds different enough to call out. The guitar tone sounds great too. Great lyricism and song writing, as always

Sidenote: I've admittedly been a little tickled since Week 4 when you wrote Desert Crown and how the lyrics were about the weather was clearing up but then it's been raining so much since then, LOL. I think we're finally entering hot weather and clear days now though.

This one was an unexplainable, spontaneous combustion thing. I didn't set out to write it, but sometimes words just fall out of my facehole, and I edit them until they kind of make sense.

Haha, thanks mate! I made a songwriting discovery back in '22 that if instead of just focusing on one thing in a song (e.g. "lover, lover, I loving love you"), you pick some other topic to bounce off of, you can create new ways to express or contextualize the story. The weather isn't necessarily a new or novel way to do this, but I seem to fall back on weather and seasons a lot.

Regarding the weather... Desert Crown was an optimistic song because there had been so much rain, and I needed it to stop to take care of my roof. What followed was a couple months of me fretting (heh) over my leaky roof because the rain wouldn't stop for long enough for me to get it handled.
