Push the Water

By blighters_rock on March 3, 2024 8:15 pm

Single mic for rhythm guitar and vox, recorded together. I am very uncomfortable with my voice, but I'm pretty happy with this, considering it's a single take with no edits.

Nice guitar playing! Jack Black toasts his glass.

I will have to try a live submission one of these weeks.

Everything sounds great my friend! It's a very well done single shot, congratulations!

That’s a really nice song. I could see you and I performing it together with the band a la Simon and Garfunkel (Or Tenacious D like homeboy above mentioned) the lyrics are great. Nice acoustic solo too.

Confortable chord progression, feels like your favorite old sweater. Nice little solo. Solid one take performance, feel very grounded.

Bravo!

Voice sounds good!

What was the mic? Acoustic sounds great too. Another solid one.

“I tried to push the water, but it didn't seem to mind” 🤌

Solo reverb/tone also really nice

Beautiful song. I keep wanting to say nice things but I continue to be amazed at your talent in song writing and production. Thanks for doing this.

Thank you! You are killing it as well!

Nice job! Must feel incredibly satisfying in retrospect that this is a single-take song. Came out really well, you should sing it sometime at an open mic night wink

Very nice. I especially liked the solo.

This is a nice one! I think your vocal delivery was good. I admire your pitch control. Nice lead guitar work! I like that you are adding more of that lately. I think you have a good sense of phrasing. Nice job recording the vocals and rhythm guitar at the same time. Sounded good!

Good work for one take, good work for many takes.
To push water, you have to freeze it first.

Love the lyrics, especially the "i knew the good old days could never last" line.  The guitar solo midway thru def brought that out to me.  Excellent take, quality and just a beautiful song altogether.  Well done!

i dont know how you pulled off the solo cause that was amazing, especially for a signal take

The acoustic guitar sounds great.  It has a great raw live feel to it.

So good. Glad you shared your song.

Hey, your voice is good, actually. This song has kind of a "punk band goes acoustic" feel and your voice works perfectly for that vibe.

yeah, your vocal sounds great. nice one!

the last 1/3rd could have been full band for the +44 "No, It Isn't" vibe fo sho

INCREDIBLE one take job!!!
your voice is great and actually
(controversial statement coming)
I like it better because it is more raw
