Cologne Before the Sun

Thanks everyone for all the comments last time. Trying some singing this week. Not my forte, but I enjoy writing harmonies.

Lyrics:

Don't wake me 'til this nightmare's over
I never want to miss another minute with you
I woke up with a devil sitting up on my shoulder
It's kinda scary 'cuz he says there's nothing worse I could do

I tied you down just to tide me over
But you tripped me up and then I fell into you
Once bitten, twice shy, third time a pushover
Fool me forever and I'll never ever leave you again

I feel the morning as it comes
I wake alone before the sun
I see your face in front of me
I long for something out of reach
I gave a piece of me to you
I need a breath of something new
I came to terms with where I stand
I'm holding on to where I am

Nice dude, cool to hear your pop-rock sensibilities in isolation. The vocal harmonies on every 2nd line are a nice touch, the heavy riff is a good hook too. And lyrically I like the little "Once, twice, third" word play. Final verse has a nice build up to round things out. All in all, good output this week!

Awesome man!  Very well produced.  Digging the vocal harmonies, well done!

I like this heavy riff at 0:45 and good sound as well. Good job on the vocals as well!

Glad you caught the wordplay! Fun to take a cliché and try to twist it around into something new

Thanks, Mr. Foo! Trying to keep finding deficiencies in my production and level up.

Thanks much, I appreciate it. Vocals aren't my forte, but I'm trying to push myself to improve
