I think the hardest part of weeklybeats is starting a piece of music, working on it for a bit and then stumbling into a better piece along the way. Ideally I would scrap it all and then start from scratch with the new core idea, but the time constraint means I don't feel good about just throwing all that work away.

Nice and upbeat! I like the combination of ambience and bass in this one.

I feel your comment is accurate about not wanting to throw things away, as the time constraint starts to pressure you into a release too.

I think of new tracks like sculpting the sound away until it takes it's true form when it started.
- And what was started doesn't turn out exactly how I intended when it's finished ..

With that, you made an interesting track within the time constraints, and I'm looking forward to hearing more smile

i like the ambient beginning a lot

I really like this idea, sometimes you really have to dig to bring out what was there in your mind at the beginning! :-)

Remember that you can shelf it for another week, or maybe another project.

I think that's almost the essence of WB. Half of my productions, personally, are made from discarded ideas from other weeks.

I feel you completely, when you're thinking: "I should have discarded this on wednesday so now I'll have a decent tune instead of this". Happens a lot smile
