I wanted to try recording live instruments rather than relying on GarageBand for my sounds. So, here we go. I have been listening obsessively to PJ Harvey's White Chalk album, and a couple of her ideas I have tried to adapt here. I'm not much of a ukulele and bass player, nor singer for that matter, but I'm learning and it was fun giving them a try! Mixing is also a bit of a mystery to me. I recorded everything besides percussion on my iPhone. Big thanks to guest percussionist Ryan and to r.domain for lending the mic to record the percussion. I hope you like it.

Very mysterious, though not the mixing part: I wouldn't change a thing Nice tune!

Nice tune!
Thanks! It remains a mystery, then.
This is good stuff. Don't call it lack of skill, but ramshackle; what you need is more ramshackle instruments, like an organ.
B. = BEAUTIFUL
Love it.
really nice sound! i like this a lot!
I was walking in the rain while listening to this. Really nice.
There's a great distant-carnival vibe to this one. Great arrangement!
Really nice, some artists search on purpose this lo-fi sound..
This track has a suitable amount of dank that I'm really enjoying.
I think the transition between the 2 parts is particularly effective and I love the piano in part 2.
Spooky spooky spooky
