Late Night/Early Morning

This week features a 2 beat beattape, though I'm not 100% pleased with either, you can read the story below to hear about that. In short, these beats were built in Logic instead of on my MPC, and I was having a lot of fun playing with delay's, until I got sick.

I actually got a beat written Sunday after posting last weeks beat, and was going to work on it throughout the week, but when i loaded it back up Monday, the main sound I based it all on was just not the same. I had used Logic & an Arturia virtual instrument, and i can't even explain how much it was just not the same come Monday. I actually re-loaded this project every day this week trying to figure it out, but at the risk of going insane, figured it was just the way it was going to be for this one. So, this beat is lost, but I did get one bounce of it Sunday night that I was able to use.

Also, this week, I picked up some sickness from my other half, which made spending time to polish up some beats really difficult. I did however squeeze out one polar opposite beat of what I made sunday night using an arpeggiator synth, which I have never really figured out how to use in the past. I think it's ok, though it doesn't really fit my normal style. Also, by the time I was trying to mix this beat, my ears were very clogged up so it's probably muddy and/or too bassy.

Lastly, I wanted to get these in to one upload because they'll probably never be released otherwise. So I'm calling it a "week 03 beattape", and since the bits are pretty opposite, calling it a Side A/B type ordeal. Of course, due to length, I had to drop the quality a bit. Alright, that's the end of this story, hoping to have time

really captures the title mood smile

Cool ! Like that piano/synth in the first part with the noise echo thing and the kind of raw beat in second part.
