Bit of quick ambient this week. This week has been extremely difficult and I am not coping with it well.
One of the pups I helped raise at the family home, Rory, passed from cancer, my Dad broke his hip and had hip replacement surgery, my beloved Minifreak is not working anymore and I can't afford to fix it, and to top it off, apparently my car is a death trap that needs to be fixed which I also can't afford. When it rains it pours.

The main pad is luscious. What are the sounds coming out of? I enjoyed this even if you found it to be low effort.

Sorry about the rough week.  That all sounds terrible and I'm sending good vibes your way.  I'm enjoying the atmosphere this track creates.  Definitely a bit of a floating in space sort of feel.

This was an excellent listen.  The pads sound gigantic and comforting.  Like I'm being carried away.  Haunting melody with the distorted lead.  So sorry to hear about the incredibly rough week you've had.  I hope things get better soon and you can find some escape in music when needed. heart

Oh it sounds like you are having a terrible time! I hope you are ok! Hang in there!

I always love ambient tracks so this is my jam. Thanks for sharing that even though the week was so bad. Those pads have a hint of hope, they are not bleak. The sound of the synth is really nice, with this slight fuzz.

very sorry to hear about the troubles. this sounds great. im partial to the noisy plucky lead - sounds great when it pings and echoes out like rings on water.

Damn, tough week.

Take care, those light chords with big reverbs feels good. I hope you can just dive into that and forget a bit about the tough times.

Man, that's a rough week. I'm impressed that you got any track out, much less something this nice. It feels so rich and considered, deliberate.

Deep and beautiful and those upper tones are so delicate. Again, can see this right at home on an album or full EP.

big hugs. thank you for sharing this lovely music. hope y'all have some smooth sailing ahead heart

The main pad is a minifreak patch, despite my physical hardware being down, thankfully I still have the minifreak vst. It is a generative patch quantized to C#min9 with LFOs determining pitch, volume, and envelope. I recorded that into ableton, used the warp feature to stretch it, then used the Valhalla Supermassive over top with a huge stereo reverb. Thank you!

Thanks! It's the Trents Pno patch on the minifreak. I do not do it justice here, it's super versatile.

These types of tracks really feel natural to me. Ambient tracks feel more like painting with layers of sound and I look at it from a different perspective. Tempo is irrelevant, it's all about feel and how the pad evolves. Thanks! heart

I am often thinking about it and actively building it with every week. Thank you! heart

Listened to this without reading the description, this is absolutely stunning work, I could listen to this all day, there is so much hope in it.  Sorry to hear about the rough patch you are going through.

A rough week, but a smooth song
