Solar drift

By BarristerPlong on November 3, 2024 3:48 pm

Some ambient this week. I struggled with a number of different tracks and arrangements and could not find one that clicked this week or I had the time to complete. I think I'm for sure over complicating things and need to simplify. Nothing seems to satisfy the longer I listen to things.

Wonderful. When I saw the title, I had hopes of what I was going to hear....and I was in no way disappointed. Your "space" tracks have been great and so evocative. You have the makings of an awesome EP with them smile

(And yeah, I get your pain - your week sounds like me last week, where nothing was clicking. The funny thing? The tracks we both discarded are probably all totally fine. But the need for a "click" is real.)

Sometimes a good drone (drift) is the best way to find that click smile  This feels like music to recharge to and rejuvenate the mind.  Love the meditative quality to this and totally just floating away from all the things that were on my mind before.

it's election day here and I'm feeling frazzled, so this solar drift was just what the Dr ordered heart

Thank you! I have definitely been looking at making albums and EPs out of my weekly content.
For sure it is frustrating when it doesnt click, but sometimes when you come back to it a week later you either realize how good it actually was, or you know exactly what it needs now hearing it with fresh ears.

For sure. Big drones and sonic walls just paint my brain and make it unable to fuss about piddly little things, I just get so focused on the big wall of sound and all the possibilities.

I can not even fathom the turmoil you have to deal with in that regard. It is heartbreaking to see horrible divisive politics tear friends and family apart. I am so sorry you have to deal with that nightmare.

heart
