Some M8 dark jazz this week heavily inspired by Bohren & Der Club of Gore. I've always had a deep love for moody film noir jazz and with the FM e-piano I made for 'Crossing the Rubicon' I started to dabble. I'm really happy with the FM bass in this one and the e-piano over top. The strings don't quite fit right, but I wasn't able to make something organic and fitting to replace it, so they're there until I revisit them. I think I'm gonna find a way to wiggle my guitar in the mix to add more organic sounds to the mix.

I really like this soundscape and this motif. I really want to explore it more.

Happy week 13!

As soon as the epiano started, I was immediately captivated. This evokes such a strong and unique feeling of melancholy, nostalgia with a very VERY small dash of hope. Damn, fantastic, man!

Wow. What a surprise coming from your usual energy! I loved this one. Great job.

Was teleported. Thanks for the trip. And the strings give a... eery something... in contrast. congrats, great track.

Love this, amazing vibe and lovely sounds. heart

love the vibes! smile

There's a nice sense of mystery and intrigue with some great textures.  I'm imagining this playing in a dark smoky room somewhere.

This is lovely. Has a slight drone feel to it…a little Noir, a little Twn Peaks. Great atmosphere!

Heard this on the live stream. Excellent work. It does feel like a different universe than all of your past tracks. Less dark space and more spooky woods. Jazz feeling certainly comes through with the drums and bass especially.

Feeling those dark city night vibes with the pacing of the bass and drums.  Like the lonely main character is walking the streets pondering a big decision.  Love the outro too.

right in the feels heart

Moody and deep. Love it.

Nailed the vibe and soundscape of this, absolutely has the feel you were describing, I like that outro and letting the vibraphone shine.

I love that setting. There's just such a distinct and cool style of noir.

Thank you! Twin Peaks is one of my favourite pieces of media.

I definitely like to move from genre to genre as things fascinate me. I'm happy with how the sonic palate turned out and definitely intend to make more.

It's such a stunning instrument when given the space to shine. Thank you!
