Deliverance

This week is a longer ambient piece recorded from the Sonicware Liven Ambient 0 at 2 different speeds on the Portastudio (both in stereo, so all 4 channels were used).

I was helping my partner at her booth at a comic convention this week and after these intense crowded days, I needed some place to rest, so I created one.

This week I was going also through a difficult time speaking out against the use of AI for creative and artistic expression. I had to force myself to call out a peer of mine and although it was hard and I felt bad because it's difficult to be hard on a friend, I felt it was important to not stay silent. I'll probably write more about this topic, once I've sorted my thoughts and removed the unnecessary negativity. Anyway, making this week's piece was a way to deal with that negativity and calm myself.

Thanks for listening and have a great week!

I appreciate your fighting for creative work that is not tainted by AI slop.  It feels like an invasion and theft where laws have not kept up with the harm.  Your piece this week is so peaceful and relaxing.  It's inspired me to dig back into the Liven Evoke.

Thanks for the encouragement! That piece of peace was badly needed for me.

This is lovely - lots of smooth, calming sounds ebbing and flowing throughout. I also appreciate your efforts to defend creativity in the face of the soulless plagiarism machine. All other concerns aside, the foundation generative AI was built on is a staggering amount of theft. The rich people who own this technology have realised that laws and oversight move very slowly, so they rush to establish themselves before official oversight can even be established. And most of the public is unaware of how anything works or why. They just see a Shiny New Thing. It's maddening.

Anyway, thank you for creating a space of beauty - I've favourited it because I will probably need an escape in the future.
