Shoelaces

One our first date, my partner wore a pair of Converse, and the laces were criss-crossed and wrapped around his ankles before they were tied in a bow. I remember looking down and noticing this detail as we were talking and learning about each other, and just thinking to myself what a sweet, genuine person he was. Talking with him was immediately so easy, and he made me feel so comfortable and safe. Now almost 3 years later, I am still so impressed by him every day. As we are navigating life together, he continues to amaze me with his optimism, his determination and his kindness. And he still ties his Converse the same way.
