Rough Start

I didn't find out about the project until late and only had a few hours to throw something together before I would have missed the deadline for the first week, so here you go!

I like the beat. Would be great to follow some kind of a lead instrument too. Thanks for the track!

I like the buzzing. I was hoping it would get a little more frightening but it's cool just hanging out there.

Thanks! I would have liked to have done more with it, but I found out about this project pretty late and only had a few hours to put something together for the first week's entry and didn't want to miss the deadline...

Oh hot damn, dude, what did you use to make this beat? I'm super into it.

like your sounds! can't wait to see what you got in store for the next weeks when u got more time to work on it.

Thanks, glad you dig it! The samples are from a Samples From Mars sample pack, and plugins you hear include Soundtoys Decapitator & Little Plate, Surreal Machines Modnetic, PSP Vintagewarmer 2, FabFilter Pro-Q 2, iZotope Vinyl & various modules from Ozone 8, all controlled with an Ableton Push 2. No synth here, but I am a big fan of Omnisphere 2 and the Arturia stuff, and various others. My complete set-up is here: http://equipboard.com/freezeetch ... and if you want to hear more, check out http://freezeetch.bandcamp.com

I recently purchased the Samples from Mars megapack or whatever it was that they had (the whole site was on sale for one price?). I'll have to pour through it again. I also have been eyeballing some of those plugins (fabfilter most of all). I'll check out your equipboard and bandcamp now! big_smile

The low end makes me nod

Yep, I got that Samples From Mars megapack too ($39 was too good to pass up!). I realized after the fact that I don't have nearly enough space on my hard drive for everything it includes, haha.

I think that sample pack was the primary reason I ended up dedicating an external drive to just samples.

Looking forward to your next submission!
