Watching Starshowers

By alonemusic on May 17, 2026 8:42 pm

This was a 'nearly abandoned' track... I started with some cassette tape ideas, but, these kinda gave way to some synthy noodles. Then on Saturday I picked up (another) Kastle synth. This then became a test of many ideas and some knob twiddling... I'm not sure how it all holds together, to me this feels very much like an 'album track'.

Overall.. It's been a mad busy week, but I'm happy to get week 20 done, in 2024 I stumbled at week 19 becasue of some health issues, so it feels good to get past that little marker. Let's keep exploring sound together, yeah?

Really great sounds and awesome buildup!

This is fantastic. Such a journey from the simple beginning to a gentle section to increasingly driving sections and then to just full on majesty. Love the driving toms after 2:00!

That transition at 2:50 into a new movement is epic. I love that section with the heavy beat and the high synth. We move from the evocative to the powerful and then to groovier heavy version by 3:25. And then goosebumps at 3:35 with the arp and how it pulls us even higher.

Favoriting this one. EPIC.

Wow, like being rushed away by a current of impressions, emotions, hot and cold energy. A wondrous ride that keeps going and keeps giving. Fantastic job!

Wow, what a track! The 5 minutes flies by. So much space in this one.

This goes in the favorites.  It's got a good build up, and then groove, and holds your interest.  Well done!

What an epic ride from start to finish.  The drums are amazing and love those lil gated synths at 2:57.  Each section transitions into the next flawlessly.  It feels like I've been thrown into a space adventure. Awesome work!

This is pure buildup into peak moment business.

Such rich synths in this one!!! Excellent work on persevering with this nearly abandoned track, you've ended up with a wonderful piece of music!

This is awesome! So cinematic and it just keeps building and building. The synths are so nice and cozy heart

Aww thank you so much. It's (nearly) always worth persevering with weekly beats, even if you are not feeling it. finishing is better than nothing!
