Rising of the Lights

By alonemusic on February 19, 2022 9:41 pm

Hello from the slightly blustery British isles.
This week was an attempt to do something a bit different with the hardware I always use, but it got really fixed on the bass synths and the processed Meeblip.
Tried for ages to get the 'chorus' synths to feel right, but I think I was a bit trapped in the loops and chords and that can get to the point where its like 'lets just finish this, and try again another time'.
Fun to mess around anyway!

Did an art too:

Oh man, this is awesome.  I love the chorus part if that's the huge part with the epic grainy pads.  Lots of awesome patches in here too.

momentum moves all throughout

supercool monstrous synthsounds you created here. are this real drums you are playing? wonderful track.

heart heart heart
I use a few packs of samples I got from Circles drums (they kept advertising on instagram until I caved).. I usually tap in a rough beat with my keyboard then draw in all the hard bits I can't play big_smile

Cool aesthetic (for both the music and design).  Favorite moments where when 02:48+ roared back in like Handel's Messiah & the synth horn at 3:03+ .

The drums are unusually strong it seems, which gives a nice bit of oomph to it. Really shifts the tone.

The tone of those drums are so nice. Got a good amount of grit and tightness to them

Really enjoyed this one, starts out sounding kind of synthwavey and gradually morphs towards something that reminds me of chiptune meets trip hop or something (mainly because of those strings rolling in at 1:46 remind me of hooverphonic or something)
