Getting Started With Infinity

By alonemusic on March 12, 2022 11:17 pm

This week was another rush to get things done on a free day after a busy week of life etc.
I didn't get much time to really focus on the drums which is a shame as I really wanted to go all in on the beats this week, but then I ended up spending ages on the acoustic bits... So swings and roundabouts I guess.
I will not hide that the acoustic bits are a tribute to Andrew Prahlow's amzing score to the amazing game Outer Wilds.
Peace out y'all, I hope you are all doing OK in this weird time.

ART:

I am sucker with epic strings/slow buildup backedup by frenetic breakbeats. The first part of the track was really that. I like how you pulled it back around 1:50, with the nice break with the accoustic guitar. That brings a lot of dynamic to the track, gives us some time to breathe. A much needed rest as we're about to embark on the final journey in the second part of the track. I like how you bring the brass also to even take it higher.

This is cinematic, epic, with a lot of sense of scale. I loved it.

the epic buildup and uplifting mood is very impressive. A classic.

Outer Wilds is an amazing game and I definitely hear it's influential vibe in here (albiet, within a mega-upbeat context haha). Things especially get beautiful and atmospherically spacey when things slow down and we just chill in the soundscape.

Quite a task at hand. Great music as always.
