Magic Like This

By alonemusic on April 26, 2026 11:12 am

Gonna say I surprised myself this week. Wasn't sure what to do, where to really go, and still feeling down and stuff over things from the last few weeks (see last weeks track for full context). I got a few new synths for a live performance in June, so messed with them a bit (and the sounds make up the intro to this track) but then I sat down of saturday, and this kinda just came out.

I personally blame the sunshine and the sudden switch to Spring that has happened. It also feels like a much needed 'what if happy?' tap that I've not really uncorked for a while, I had ideas (and still do) over the shape and 'why?' I'm writing music this year, and this track just goes against all of that. But I feel like I needed it.

The intro noises come from the Bastl Wave Bard through a reverb pedal and Bastl FX Wizard.

Take care out there heart Than kyou for all the lovely comments too.

Art:

I like this positive retro eletronic track. I like the progression of the track, like for instance how you take it back at 2:30 while building the excitement before exploding again at 2:55. Dynamics!

Sounds fresh. At 2m30 ish the polyrhythms feels a bit like mission impossible, super fun.

Loving the warm feels of springtime sunshine! The guitar sounds so good with the epic synth lead and drums. Oh hell yes the big chorus feels at 2:55 the lead at 3:18 are awesome! \m/ Excellent work!

I love the amount of emotions that arise as I listen to this track. The visual art is really cool too, and vibes with the music perfectly

whoa, was not expecting that! BIG JOY

WOAH! After that synth intro I was completely caught off guard when the track opened up. This is great!!

Oh that guitar right off the hop is excellent. What awesome vibes. Great work.

An awesome journey through thousands adventures heart

This song definitely goes a bunch of interesting places, magical places. The world could use more joy, and this delivers.
