Fern Radio - Volca Sample Chilled Lo-fi Hip hop

By Aisjam on October 11, 2020 1:02 pm

What would it be like to color one of my synths with an old tube radio? So that is what I set out to do. this little track was created in 3 parts. first i recorded some jazzy tunes with my bass guitar and arturia's stage 73 v.

After that little jam, I chopped it up into sections to play on the Volca Sample. This was expensive so I sped up the samples so they were shorter to download, however i could change the pitch to get them back to the correct size. I setup multiple sequences then practice a live session with it.

then I took the volca sample and plugged it into my old tube radio to get that warm sound. It was a bit adhoc when I messed around with looping the chord however I like how it came out.

The radio is a really nice touch, a very pretty shade of sepia.

It's so bright! But a good kind of bright! I think you've nailed low-fi-study-aesthetic

i really like this beat such a good vibe like how it kinda peaks out of the lofi and goes back. a friendly hello
