Fun song! The lead synth makes it sound like music made by cats big_smile

wonderful Pluxus vibes and then the horn brings it home - great tune!

Pretty stack of sounds.

That Microfreak MEOW lead is fantastic -- what synth engine did you use? The secondary melody development after the opening ska section (00:40 seconds onward) is so, so, so good! heart The ending has a sea shanty type vibe and it's a killer. I don't know if you're brilliant for not repeating it or not but I looped that part a bunch on my own, so THERE. heart

Gadget questions: are you using Chicago for the bass here? What is that backing pad sound in the second section?

Lovely work!

Lovely work!

Thank you for the comments all! smile

@ilzxc The meow is just the BasicWaves with a filter envelope and some pitch lfo. I can't decide if there's too much of it in here - been thinking of either layering some parts or breaking it up with another lead for variation, but decisions!

I sometimes keep the catchy parts short consciously (let's call it a statement when I do!), but this time I ended up thinking it was too short as well. I've been trying to double the length after the fact, while struggling to keep it flowing now that my mind was set on how it turned out, but I might have figured it out this morning actually. smile

I think my Gadget basses have been about 50/50 Chigaco and Dublin, and this time it was the latter. The current week's tune will be Chicago bass again. smile

The pad is Montpellier (iMono/Poly).

Thank you for the feedback, it's much appreciated. Critisism/ideas for improvement is always welcome too!

I love korg gadget! Also this tune is mad cute and classic!
