i wrote a spooky tune for the halloween season but it's got some movie samples and i'm not sure if that falls under fair use or not.

so here's a different kind of horror instead.

The synths in this song are great - it reminds me of some of the levels in Sonic 3. One of them in particular brings back memories of the Special Stage in Sonic 1 or Sonic 3, and almost sounds like the noise that the bumpers would make when you hit them! Great song with some slight 80s/90s mall vibes as well, love it!

“A different kind of horror” - LOL. The title and the track made me expect a voiceover. “Your call is important to us! Please stay on the line and the next available associate will assist you.”


Seriously though, This Grooves. What’s particularly awesome about this track is those lofi sorta crushed drums. It changes around the entire attitude of the track and elevates the whole thing. Great tones and melodic lines in here too, love that watery organ. This is 100% 80s Casio Cool, in the best possible way.

thanks, you are too kind! and i see what you mean. i adore the music of sonic games. i want to tackle that style someday.

thank you! i was indeed trying to recreate some groovy holding music i had heard on the phone. hence the compression artifacts courtesy of LO-FI-AF.
