Sun shined for me yesterday

By zlatovlas on March 18, 2018 8:22 pm

There's a folk song in my country I happened to know the melody and lyrics but no chords. So I harmonized and changed it a little. Song is supposed to be sad. It's about a couple who broke up because of war.

I decided to perform and record this song in a one session using my Korg microKORG+ and looper pedal. I am not a pianist I can play chords because of nature of my hobby but that's it.

Challenges here:
- to actually perform this song without major mistakes (this took me over two hours smile)
- to reharmonize
- to create sad atmosphere

Recorded in a one session using looper pedal then just normalized

Thank you very much! smile

It sounds nice, maybe even a little lovely, though I think I'll go for mysterious.
