Unward

not onward, but *un*ward.. also to remove wards, to forgo protection, to remove sanctuary. It's a dangerous step, but a necessary one.

I spent more time than usual on this one, and really feel like I made it to many things that I forgot about doing to track since my long hiatus..  So hopefully the mixing and such here is a little better than my average.. I feel like the song could have benefitted from a bigger bass presence, but I wasn't able to successfully get it working in the composition.  While the song does feel "full" to me, I'm also proud of how much negative space it has. The composition certainly has structure but also has a bit of unpredictable-ness that I like for it.

Not calling this my "perfect" track, but it was fun to work on and I feel I used a lot of what I know.. I think I am capable of better compositions, but this track still  has a lot going for it imo.

i really enjoyed this. thanks man.

snagged!

Very nice Beat the arp and the 2 note chords are nice!

How did those arps not drive you mad? I'd have added some attack to them after a while.
