Frozen Feet

By Jim Wood on January 25, 2018 6:19 pm

Inspired by (but not sampled from) Juana Molina's "Los Pies Helados." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijSaXg9rUX4) Vocals: Sarah Barthel, Phantogram remix contest "Fall in Love." Operator algorhythms switched randomly using a  M4L LFO. Tuned to F Minor.

I love f minor heart . Intensely weird and interesting. I dig it.

The instrumental work on this one is really awesome.

I love LFO as an all-purpose mess-with-stuff tool.  Disorienting and wintry!

Nice, Ifelt like I tuned my radio to a station on an alien planet maybe.

The intro is marvelous. And i like the timpani-style tom fills with the female voice in the first part.
The femal voice itself is lovely... i am happy you ended with that smile

The piece I'm working on for next week has extensive use of LFOs and Device Randomizers. Stay tuned.

Thank you all for your perceptive comments!

Cool song, great use of the material as usual. I like Juan Molina, I can hear that inspiration, thanks for sharing!

You have arrived at your destination. Please exit the vehicle.

Thanks!

I used to watch Juana Molina when she was a comedian back in Argentinian tv. She was very funny. The songwriter phase took us by surprise... she's kinda awesome, I think
