Step In

"Step In" is my mantra for this year. At the moment there is reluctance in it. The challenge to make music every week on this site is very important to me. Weeklybeats is where I've posted a vast majority everything I've ever made, and I've grown a lot as an artist here. This year it's certainly going better than I think it ever has. Still it sometimes feels challenging to move forward with it. It constantly feels like I'm not doing enough. It's also easy to feel like this endeavor is fruitless. But I can't let it be. But I think this song captures the foreboding feeling of that. The foreboding feeling that maybe my art will never be as good as I want it to be. But I'll never stop- so I will either get there or perish trying.

Thanks for listening smile

This really goes somewhere, the way the chiptune sounds enter, that lowpass on the drums, rad as hell, and the grinding chipbass, nice

Love the slow burn intro, and how subtle the chip elements are as they come in. Then BOOM. Nice breakdown at 2:00, and then the switchup to propel it to the end. Really liked the changes as the track went on.

Step in and move forward! heart

That heavy beat and the piano make this start as a very different song. You really got sneaky with the chip elements (I didn't hear it in the bass drone until it was too late!), but never lost track of the cinematic feel.
