It's progress. I really love the drum beat I got going with this one. Honestly, might try to use it more because it's really got that bump going.

It reminds me of the slums in FF7. It's got some funk to it.

I like where I'm headed

dig it. keep it up! your composition is on point. sound design & mixing would be good places to focus on.

sweet tune. has some aphex SAW2 vibes for me with that floaty delayed arp

Love the feedback. I'm curious if you have any specific advice on the mixing and sound design? just out of curiosity. It's 100% a thing I am always trying to improve on.

honestly, practice, practice, practice. use your ears & get away from the mix for a while before mixing again. gain structure is super important. cutting out competing frequencies between tracks makes a huuuuge difference as well. I usually high pass everything except kick, sub, bass and low pass everything except percussion, hats, maybe some atmos or fx. Use eq to dial in a specific frequency range for emphasis in each sound so that it occupies its own place in the mix... there's so much, honestly. Watch tutorials and practice.  it doesn't end, lol... def still working on my mixes!

Awesome. Yes, I 100% agree. I've never thought about using a low pass, maybe that's something I'll try. Onward and upward lol

That's a sweet drum sound, maybe a little variation in the beat could help though.

lmao these drums catch me every time i listen through the WB list.  still can't get enough of crunchy lofi kick-snare.

the whatever-cross-modulated-sorta bass is a great sound against the mellower beat
