it means golden armor. Not a reference to anything. 
So I'm heavily influenced by the music from X-2, and I've been listening to the music from that game a lot. I once heard a song called "Teal Tundra" which really captured the essence of F-zero music through an entirely original composition. With any luck maybe I'll be able to pull of something similar with X-2 music. Who knows. This would be my first attempt at anything of the sort.
